Stages
Pre-kinder and Kinder
Learning from a young age is a natural and intrinsic process in a child's life. By their side, parents can be part of this learning, living and sharing their experiences, growing and enjoying with them.
At a stage where the development of gross and fine motor skills, along with sporadic immersion in the world of reading and writing, are attractive and decisive in the future development of our children's attitudes. And importantly: there are no established “perfect programs.”.
At this age, rivers of imagination, play, and fun must flow. Give creativity free rein. Encouraging appropriate behaviors and healthy habits will be a very important part of their development at this stage of their lives.
Why not learn through play?
Primary School (ages 6 to 14)
(Grades 1-8) (In Spain, grades 1-6 of Primary School and grades 1-2 of ESO)
In this stage from ages 6 to 14, our children progressively open up to the world; even better... the world is what opens up before them, stimulating their capacity to learn, to be surprised, to be moved.
Everything can be presented to them as an exciting adventure that constantly invites their curiosity, imagination, creativity... and consequently, learning.
At these ages, children learn very quickly and almost without realizing it; as is often said, they are true sponges. And this is where it is most important to build and solidify the foundations of what that person will be when they grow up.
It is evident that in this cycle, the skills and demands are different in different age groups, even within different families depending on their environments, surroundings, and interests...
In this way, we will encounter an infinite number of family “projects” of teaching, according to the capacities, passions, skills, and circumstances that surround them or in which they find themselves immersed.
Parents should be aware of these stages or processes in children's growth and maturation, so we know how to accompany them, be close to them, and provide them with what is vital, appropriate, or interesting at each moment, age, or circumstance.
High School
(9th-12th Grade) (Equivalent in Spain to 3rd-4th year of ESO and 1st-2nd year of Bachillerato)
For many families, this is the most difficult age. To educates We believe it is the most important and, at the same time, the most exciting. Why?
Until now, we elders have been the guide for our children to walk the path we have believed to be correct; therefore, the responsibility and the search has fallen primarily on the parents.
At this stage, the perspective shifts. It will be much easier to learn together, research together, progress together... to walk hand in hand. We will see how our children become more autonomous, more self-directed; and how they contribute more and more, redirecting their aptitudes and shaping their attitudes according to their tastes, preferences, and hobbies that they will discover little by little.
We will be aware that they are forging ahead, marking their own path. And we will see new aspirations awaken in them. The pursuit of concrete goals set by us will begin to be seen as stages they are leaving behind.
Our goal as parents should be, in addition to providing academic support (which is so important and necessary at this stage), to help them in their process of discovering who they are and what their talents and interests are; providing them with the optimal tools so that when the time comes, they are prepared to take flight on their own, without restrictions or barriers, or without chains that enslave them.
Special Program
This new course, at Educandis, we have included a new program that, without serving as a “comparison” to the usual ones, has been created to meet the demands of families with children who either cannot keep up with the usual pace, or who have some differentiating characteristic and desire a more adapted curriculum (we are thinking, for example, of families with deaf children who have come to us, of specialized programs or information for children with Asperger's, and other learning difficulties that we can assess individually...).
